It’s not perfect. But what you do get is a brilliant Matthew Vaughn style cinema experience with an incredible cast, that’s never boring. This is a fun night at the cinema with lots of surprises!!!

The Color Purple review by Con

Youth #Gottit View:
If this film didn’t have the songs (Which are well written and brilliantly performed, for the record) in the movie – this would probably be the best remake in years. The cast are outstanding, the film is really well made and it’s a brilliant story that all generation should know. But we found it very uncomfortable regularly, when you find yourself tapping your foot to songs that often have a ‘jolly’ tone about domestic abuse towards woman. Sadly the songs didn’t work for us, in such an impactful and important story – but everything else was brilliant!!!

This is guaranteed to be one of the movie hits of 2024. Catchy songs, Great performances and a fun revenge story. Mean Girls is like the love child of Grease and Grease 2 – Highly Recommended!!!

The Boys In The Boat review by Con

Youth #Gottit View:
This isn’t a film that Connor would naturally be drawn to. But he enjoyed it far more than he expected to. Think ‘Creed in a Row Boat’ rather than ‘The Boys in the Boat’ and that’s more the level of entrainment you’re likely to get from see it. Surprisingly exciting throughout with a great story!!!
DC Comics – Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom review by Con!!!
In Cinemas 21/12/23 (12A) 1.5 Stars
Youth #Gottit View:
Where to start? The reality is, if you’ve seen all of the other recent DC movies and followed the ongoing story – you need to see this film. But for a final movie in a series, this is more a ‘Get It Done’ than a ‘Grand Explosive Finale’. It’s such a shame as the original version of Aquaman 2 sounded really good. It feels like ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ as a movie, had to deal with the same issues the final movie in the X-Men franchise had to deal with. Youngsters up to 16 years old will enjoy it – but most cinema goers will struggle. Roll on Superman Legacy and a new era in DC Comics movie making!!!
