Evil Dead Burn review by Alex

Evil Dead Burn is the sixth entry in the iconic Horror franchise. Directed by Sébastien Vanicek and written by Florent Bernard, Sam Raimi, Sébastien Vanicek. The main protagonist is Alice (played by Souheila Yacoub) a French widow who has to come face to face with her dearly departed husband’s family, however things quickly turn for the worst when one by one they get taken over by a supernatural force.

The special effects in the many gory scenes were absolutely gut wrenching, the detail put into the deformed bodies was absolutely immense and felt right at home in a Evil Dead movie (even a Saw film for that matter).

Story wise it’s pretty solid with returning plot devices from previous entries that nod to fans of the previous entries, while not being too confusing and quite easy to pick up on for those getting stuck in for the first time.

As a continuation of the Evil Dead franchise it most definitely lives up to its name, whether you’re a returning fan or a brand new one it is easy to get into the story, while also having nods to previous entries. I’d 100% give this a watch if you’re a fan of horror!

Youth #Gottit Review:

Talk about a gore-fest. This movie is such a wonderful piece of horror entertainment – with many brilliant classic style Evil Dead moments. Easily the best of the later movies so far. A must see for old and new fans!!!
